Student Online Poster Session

Organizers: Emily Carlson (Waterloo) studc-summer21-poster@cms.math.ca

Students are encouraged to present a poster with a topic of their choice. To register for the poster session, the abstract has to be submitted and registration has to be paid by May 27. Please submit your poster to studc-summer21-poster@cms.math.ca

 Presenters are asked to give a short (~3min) presentation to the judges and remain at their posters during judging to answer questions. The winners will be announced following the judging time period. Prizes will be  mailed to the three best poster presenters, based on content, organization, and presentation. 

Each winner will receive  $100 and a framed award certificate.

FIRST PLACE: Yuying Li
• Poster title: Modelling and pricing cyber security risk

SECOND PLACE: Axel Turnquist
• Poster title: Optimal transport on the sphere

THIRD PLACE: Stéphanie Abo
• Poster title: Modelling the circadian regulation of the immune system: sexually dimorphic effects of shift work

 

Student Research Talks Session

Organizers: Genevieve Maalouf (McMaster)

Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit an abstract for a 20 minute talk. All research areas in pure and applied math, statistics and math education will be considered. Students that would like to give a talk must submit their abstract to the organizers by sending an email to (studc-summer21-session@cms.math.ca) before May 27th. Notice of acceptance will be given by in May.
